THE PARTY’S OVER //

✋creamy-chewy drizzly cloud fizz layered with lilac perlite slime (8 oz)
👃moulding wedding cake, rich vanilla bean, cream, violet liqueur, earthy rot, sugared lilacs, dust & cobwebs

"It's time to call it a day
They've burst your pretty balloon
And taken the moon away
It's time to wind up the masquerade
Just make your mind up, the piper must be paid
The party's over
The candles flicker and dim
You danced and dreamed through the night
It seemed to be right just being with him
Now you must wake up, all dreams must end
Take off your makeup, the party's over
It's all over, my friend"

In the novel Great Expectations, Miss Havisham is an eccentric, wealthy middle-aged woman, abandoned by her groom on her wedding day. She now languishes in decay alongside her rotting mansion, having stopped all the clocks at the time of the tragic event, remaining in her dress and leaving her wedding cake and feast to mould on the table as the years tick by. Her crumbling, elaborate abode filled with darkness, dust, & the heavy air of bitterness symbolizes the decadence & misery of the upper class. To protect her from the same fate, Havisham grooms her daughter Estella to be a cold-hearted beauty, delighting in tormenting men. In a tragic accident, Havisham perishes when her wedding dress catches fire.

This slime encapsulates the juxtaposition of a beautiful memory with the decaying passage of time. Balloons deflate slowly in the stale air, half-eaten meals congeal on dinner plates. The once-vibrant cake, adorned with cheery flowers, now sags in on itself, petals wilting, frosting melting into sticky pools.

This slime features a drizzly cloud fizz cake, a slightly heftier & creamier version of my fan-favorite texture of 5 years, with the addition of a layer of lilac perlite slime. It’s adorned with flowers and pigmented with faint char marks & decay. The fragrance blend is gorgeously rich and complex: no straight-from-the-bottle cake scent here. Don’t be put off by the more atmospheric notes; they underscore the sweetness and add depth, sort of like the pleasant scent of aged books! The florals are also very minimal.
